Fell asleep listening to a history of the 2nd world war (again), the rise of fascism in Europe, culminating in the holocaust, one of the worst war crimes in history, perhaps THE worst. And people have the nerve to deny it as they do the FACT of global warming. It’s still alive it seems to me but even more widespread now. Anti-Semitism has somehow become the norm. It’s global, pervasive, insidious idiocy. It’s here in Canada and the US. I see it in the farmer’s market; that woman with the flowers and her ‘free Palestine’ sign. No mention of freeing the hostages or bringing the psychopathic war criminals of Oct 7th to justice. She’s a known twit, low IQ, racist, obviously anti-semitic and rather unattractive to boot, not just on the surface but beneath the surface. As an artist i’ve refined my vision to see the beauty in people that they themselves do not even see, and to show them that beauty in ways that they never imagined. I’m also sensitive to ugly and it is far more than skin deep. Anti-semitism, It never really went away, in spite of what happened with the pogroms and the Holocaust, the murder of 6 million Jews, 2/3 of the Jewish population of Europe died, were murdered, many starved to death after watching their children starve to death and die of diseases caused by malnutrition and cruel, painful, unsanitary conditions, during the 2nd world war. The human race is so fucked up. Seriously ignorant of history and, therefore, history is bound to repeat itself. A lot of people are pathetically ignorant, willfully ignorant, it seems to me, blinded by ignorance and intellectually incapable of climbing out of their mental muck. Stupid, lacking compassion, empathy and understanding. Most people are too busy following their favourite sit com or wondering what the Kardashians are up to lately to bother to study history and learn from it. They just don’t really care and study is too much work for them. Sadly that includes many of you. You remain silent in the face of blatant injustice or you mindlessly climb on the bandwagon that backs the religious fanatics responsible for Oct 7th and the long list of atrocities perpetrated by Islamists over the centuries. You are simpletons or blinded by hateful propaganda, misinformation campaigns aimed at the western secular democracies which have the aim of convincing you that wrong is actually right, that evil is actually a good thing when it comes to targeting and vilifying Jews. Part 2 of my early morning rant against the pervasive and blatant anti-semitism we are seeing in the news and on the streets right now, in the 21st century and some background info. Do you see a pattern here? A pattern repeating itself all through history? I certainly do.
The so called Golden Age of Islam was concurrent with the dark ages and horrible times for those they invaded and conquered. It was only golden for Muslims as they literally stole by force the wealth of the peoples of the many territories they invaded and installed an unfair tax, the jizya, a form of protection racket. So the Islamic forces of the day used a system of violent invasion, plundering the conquered lands and extorting the non-muslim populations. I think that is an important fact to recognize and discuss. I imagine this short video history is more than a bit biased in favour of Islamic world view. The ‘golden age of Islam’ was actually the dark ages for those unfortunate people’s invaded by force during the Islamic expansion and subsequently robbed of their freedom and prosperity, what little they may have possessed in those days as many among them were already being enslaved and exploited by ‘Christendom’ at the time. This so called ‘golden age of Islam’ was synonymous with oppression, Islamic aggression and heinously cruel violence, torture and genocides, the complete enslavement, subjugation, domination and exploitation of conquered populations all through North Africa, the Middle East, Persia, Arabia, and large swaths of Europe. Here are some times in history when Muslim forces were responsible for genocide of Jewish populations. This is not a complete list of the times in history when Islamic forces wiped out/ethnically cleansed Jewish populations, often from lands that the Islamic forces had occupied by violent means in the first place and also of indigenous Jewish populations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

1. Conquest of Medina (627 CE): Muhammad’s forces attacked and expelled the Jewish tribes of Medina, resulting in the deaths of many Jews.
2. Massacre of the Banu Qurayza tribe (627 CE): Muhammad’s forces besieged and defeated the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza, leading to the execution of over 800 Jewish men and the enslavement of their women and children.

9. 1517 expulsion from Egypt: Jews were expelled from Egypt by the Ottoman Empire.

Here are some times when Christian populations were subjected to genocide by Muslims in the past.
1. The conquest of Syria (634-638 CE): Christian populations were massacred, forced to convert, or expelled.
2. The Battle of Heliopolis (640 CE): Egyptian Christians were killed or enslaved by the Rashidun Caliphate.
3. The Mongol conquest of Baghdad (1258 CE): Christians were massacred, and churches destroyed.
4. The Ottoman conquest of Constantinople (1453 CE): Christians were killed, enslaved, or forced to convert.

8. The Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990 CE): Christian populations were targeted by Muslim militias.
9. The ISIS atrocities (2014-2019 CE): Christians in Iraq and Syria were subjected to massacres, forced conversions, and enslavement.
10. Boko Haram, a terrorist organization, kidnapped approximately 276 schoolgirls from Chibok, Nigeria in 2014. The majority of the girls were Christian. The kidnapped girls were subjected to forced conversions to Islam, physical and emotional abuse, and forced marriages to Boko Haram fighters. Many were also forced into sexual slavery and used as human shields.
